Hong Kong Red Cross - International Day for Disaster Reduction Event 2023
CIC Zero Carbon Park, Kowloon Bay
7-8th October 2023
I am honored to be a multifaceted contributor to the IDDR Event 2023, scheduled for 7 to 8 October 2023 at Zero Carbon Park, where the primary objective is to promote community resilience and disaster preparedness in Hong Kong. As both a judge of the art submission program and an artist, I am thrilled to showcase my captivating artwork titled 'Dancing Butterflies in Floral Landscape' at the event.
My artwork, crafted using recycled materials, serves as a powerful representation of resilience. The dancing butterflies symbolize the indomitable spirit of individuals and communities, gracefully navigating through life's challenges and setbacks. The floral landscape, intricately created from repurposed materials, signifies the regenerative power of nature and the ability to thrive and rebound after adversity.
In addition to my role as an artist, I am excited to lead a captivating workshop during the event. Participants will have the opportunity to create their own wire trees using recycled materials, an engaging and popular workshop that promotes both creativity and sustainability. By guiding participants in this activity, I aim to inspire them to explore their artistic potential while also fostering an appreciation for the importance of resilience and resourcefulness in building a sustainable future.
As a judge, artist, and workshop leader, I am humbled to contribute to the overall objective of the IDDR Event 2023. By celebrating resilience through art and providing a platform for creative expression, we can inspire individuals to embrace sustainable practices and strengthen our community's ability to withstand and recover from disasters.
I am sincerely grateful to the Hong Kong Red Cross for organizing this meaningful event and providing a platform to inspire and empower our community.
